Legion of Merit - verification

I removed reference to two Legion of Merit awards. Not found in official USMC bio, nor seen on photo. If verification found, please restore reference. —ERcheck @ 16:00, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I found references on sites promoting his book, but not on military sites. All photos that I have seen with him wearing all of his decorations do not include a Legion of Merit medal. —ERcheck @ 16:08, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to add a bit of a personal note in that I served with Colonel Fox when he was my Battalion C.O at Quantico in the late 80s maybe mid/late 90 before I left for the Gulf War and I have to say he is one of the finest leaders I have ever met. His mere presence instills confidence. Everytime I saw him I thought he was just about as much of a Marine's Marine as you can get. I have the highest level of respect for Colonel Fox. I have also had the pleasure and honor of meeting his family and they are just the most down to earth wonderful people you could meet. Colonel Fox is an american hero of the highest order, not only because of his actions in combat but his dedication to honor, to this country and the Marine Corps that we love. I actually think of Colonel Fox often and even some 16 years later, his lessons and his example are with me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.138.10 (talkcontribs) 21:42, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
