Jerez de la Frontera is a city and municipality in the province of Cádiz in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. It is where sherry originated and it is one of the original centres of Flamenco. Frontera refers to its former location on the frontier between the Moorish and Christian regions of Spain. It is the home of the Xerez Club Deportivo football team.
