WMIC (660 AM) is a full-service radio station in Sandusky, Michigan. WMIC went on the air at 1560 AM on June 27, 1968, and changed its frequency to the current 660 in 1987, serving Sandusky and the Thumb and Blue Water area of Michigan.

WMIC has two co-owned FM sister stations, Light and Easy Listening 97.7 WTGV-FM and Country 92.5 WBGV; the stations are locally owned and operated by Sanilac Broadcasting.

Programming

  • WMIC features a news-talk format throughout the week, with Rush Limbaugh weekday afternoons and a heavy commitment to local news and information.
  • The station also airs a polka music show on Saturday and Sunday afternoons with Paul Osentoski.
  • During the weekdays, WMIC features a country music morinig show, Paul Harvey news and comment, and local news with Bob Armstrong.

WMIC is a 1,000 Watt daytimer that signs off between sunset and sunrise to protect WFAN New York, which is a 50,000 Watt clear channel status radio station. Due to its low position on the dial, WMIC's signal can be heard throught the thumb and over a large chunk of eastern Michigan and southwestern Ontario, including in some northern suburbs of Detroit and as far away as Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Houghton Lake.
