Guillem Bauza Mayol is a professional footballer, currently playing as a centre forward in League One, for Welsh side Swansea City. He signed for the Swans in the summer of 2007 from Spanish side Espanyol, where he played all his games for their ‘B’ team who play in the Spanish second division. Before joining Espanyol he had been at his hometown club Mallorca. In his only game for Mallorca FC he partnered Samuel Eto in attack.

Bauza, more commonly known by his nickname Bussy, won the Under 16’s European Championships with Spain, playing all 6 games alongside Liverpool’s £23 million striker Fernando Torres. He also represented Spain at Under 17 and Under 20 levels, again playing alongside Torres.

His first Swansea goals were against Dutch team Alphense Boys during the club's pre-season tour of the Netherlands, when he scored twice in a 5-2 victory. His first competitive goal came against Wycombe Wanderers in the Football League Trophy. Bussy scored his first League goal for the Swans in the 3-1 win at Kenilworth Road against Luton Town.

Trivia

  • Bussy and his two fellow Spanish team-mates at Swansea - Angel Rangel and Andrea Orlandi are known as the 'Three Amigos'. This is because the current Swansea City manager was part of the original 'Thee Amigos' when he played for Wigan Athletic.
  • Outside of football Bussy is a qualified teacher who could speak almost fluent English before he arrived in Wales.
