Nancy Kramer (played by Arlene Lott) was a supporting character on the original Playing With Time series Degrassi Junior High. Nancy was a frumpy, studious young girl and her character was developed very little throughout the series. She was most often associated with Caitlin Ryan (played by Stacie Mistysyn), Kathleen Mead (played by Rebecca Haines) and Tim O'Connor (played by Keith White). Nancy is probably best remembered for beating Kathleen Mead in the Degrassi school presidential election in the DJH season 3 episode, A Big Girl Now[1]. She is also remembered as the editor of the school's student newspaper, the Degrassi Digest [2] throughout the first and second seasons. She insists on 200 words per article! Caitlin assumed that position in season 3. She is known as the backbone of Degrassi . Fans have created a drinking game in honor of her that is played by taking a shot whenever she randomly appears.
