Victoria Tennant

Victoria Tennant (born 30 September, 1950) is an Anglo-American film and television actress.

Tennant was born in London, England to Irina Baronova, a White Russian prima ballerina who appeared with the Ballet Russes de Monte Carlo, and her husband, Cecil Tennant, an English producer and talent agent who ran MCA's talent office and whose clients included Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, John Gielgud and Michael Redgrave. Her maternal grandfather, Misha Baronov, was a senior officer in the Russian navy, and her maternal grandmother, the former Lydia Vishniakova, was a general's daughter. Laurence Olivier was Tennant's godfather.[1] She has a sister, Irina, and a brother, Robert, both of whom were badly injured in the car accident that killed their father in 1967.

She attended the Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London.

Tennant has been married three times. Her first husband was Peppo Vanini, a nightclub owner, whom she married in 1969 and divorced in 1976. Her second husband was the American actor and comedian Steve Martin (1986-1994); she starred opposite him in All of Me and LA Story. She left him for Australian actor Andrew Clarke and was involved with the writer-director Matthew Chapman. Since 1996, Tennant has been married to her third husband, Kirk Justin Stambler, a lawyer with Warner Bros., with whom she has two daughters: Katya and Irina.[1]

In addition to being a UK national and citizen, Tennant is also a naturalized American citizen.[citation needed]
