The republic of Alba was a French client republic proclaimed on 25 April 1796.It covered the area of Piedmont.It existed 1796-1801.It ceased to exist on 19 April 1801,when it was anexed by France.It was reincstated during World War 2 as a local resistence agaimst facism.This republic existed October 10th to November 2nd 1944.
