Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Satellite, you will be blocked from editing. Mifter (talk) 15:05, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Satellite, you will be blocked from editing. ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 15:06, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
okay okay
in my own defence, this isn't vandalism. i'm trying to move a section of the article to List of orbits where it should be, but the bot won't let me. 82.6.96.66 (talk) 15:07, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- lovely.. 82.6.96.66 (talk) 15:45, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
{unblock|Although I appreciate the machine that is the wikipedia anti-vandalism unit, this has been a mistake. I was trying to move the section on Orbit type in the article Satellite to the List of orbits. I had just finished the (rather time consuming) merger into List of orbits, and then went to remove the redundant section in Satellite. I replaced the list with a couple of paragraphs summarizing different orbits types. I was reverted by a bot twice because the section was so large. The bot recommended I make edits in smaller chunks, which I did. This led the anti-vandals to revert these changes and post-notices on the user page. Then I left notices on their talk pages explaining my actions, and one of them replied, recommending that i leave a reason for the edit in the edit summary (which i didn't do before). He was also mistakenly under the impression that i blanked the entire page - which i clearly didn't. So after about ten minutes, i took a deep breath and tried to make the changes again, this time with a clear edit summary, and within moments i was blocked. I hope whoever reads this understands that the changes I was trying to make are completely legitimate. 82.6.96.66 (talk) 15:35, 9 February 2008 (UTC)}

- Yes, they do unfortunately; especially when IP address users remove sections from articles, it's hard to differentiate between the good and bad edits. I hope you're not too bothered by my mistake. · AndonicO Hail! 16:31, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account (Which also might help what happened when you edited Satellite from happening again). Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. If you edit without a username, your IP address (82.6.96.66) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!
I would also like to apologize for the mis-understanding that had happened earlier, with you trying to move some content around from Satellite and mistakenly getting blocked for content removal.--Mifter (talk) 20:24, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
