Chesterfield College
Chesterfield College is a further and higher education college in the town of Chesterfield in North East Derbyshire, England. Chesterfield College's main campus is on Infirmary Road with its second on the Tapton House campus on Brimington Road, which opened in September 1994. A third campus exists at Clowne, five miles to the north-east of Chesterfield. The College serves over 21,000 students, of which 5,600 are full-time attendees.[1]
History
Chesterfield College started life in 1841 as the Chesterfield and Brampton Mechanics' Institute, and went through various incarnations, including the merger in 1984 of Chesterfield Art College and Chesterfield College of Technology, before becoming Chesterfield College. 1993 saw Chesterfield College become the first Associate College of Sheffield Hallam University. The Infirmary Road site is where the majority of the courses take place, as well as being home to the Advice and Guidance Center and the administrative organization of the College. Tapton House is set in beautiful grounds, and now shares a site with the Innovation Center.
Beacon College status
Chesterfield College has been awarded Learning and Skills Beacon Status for excellence in community-based education.[2] This award was launched by the Department for Education and Skills and the Learning and Skills Council in 2002. This award was presented to the College in London on 15 March 2005.
Lifelong Learning Network
Chesterfield College is a partner institution of Higher Futures, the Lifelong Learning Network (LLN) for South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.

Sarah Searson Sarah Searson is one of the many fantastic students to enter the college campus. She is an accomlished student despite not turning up to lessons all the time and spending her time talking about the young farmers assoiciation, she has a tight brain in her head. Sarah is currently studying the BTEC National diploma course in business and is a fantastic student. She is particularly good at having depates with other members of the form about the farming industry. She is very traditionalin that she will travel on a combine harvester to college. Sarah is an excellent person. She is currently the oldest person in the class. She will probably leave the course in the foreseeable future to help her boyfriend on the farm.
