Anti-Cap is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe, an enemy of Captain America who first appeared in Captain America and The Falcon #1 (2004)

Fictional character biography

His career beginning with a deep hatred in terrorism, the life of Anti-Cap began when he enlisted in the navy, but was let down according to a series of heath tests. Instead, he was accepted into the Office of Naval Importance (O.N.I.) and ingested a "super-steriod" (AVX) that magnified his phisycal attributes. He worked for the program for one year, then went rogue for an unknown reason. After S.H.I.E.L.D. suspected the O.N.I. project as a criminal organization, the vigilante Falcon helped take Anti-Cap to safety. Dressing as Captain America and calling himself "Ant-Cap," the operative ran into the real Captain America, and the two fought as rivals. Captain America captured the impersonator and kept him in hiding, only for him to die after an overdose of AVX. Buried at sea, he was soon rescued by the Falcon, who took him back to Brooklyn, where the Anti-Cap pursued murdering any aids to terrorists. Soon, he and Captain America met again, where he had his final battle that ended with Anti-Cap getting run over by a moving train.

Powers and abilities

Having ingested "super-steroid" chemicals similar to the "super-soldier" serum ingested by Captain America, Anti-Cap has been granted with top-quality strength, endurance, reflexes, agility, and durability. Anti-Cap's naval operative suit is also equipped with many built in gadgets, and he carries many guns and weapons in addition to a nearly impenatrable shield similar to that of Captain America's own shield.
