This begs the question of how a Shuppet can evolve into a discarded doll

I have heard somewhere that Banette is brought to life when a discarded doll becomes possessed by a Shuppet -- likely because discarding a doll in anger attracts Shuppet, as Shuppets are attracted by human feelings of anger, hate, etc.

I am going to add this to the article, as I'm pretty sure it's valid.
