Gilbert Cedillo (born March 25, 1954), American Politician, and a member of the Democratic Party of the California State Senate, representing the 22nd District of California. Cedillo was elected in 1998 at age 44 and was reelected in 2004

Cedillo has been criticized several times for allowing undocumented immigrants to have driver's licenses. He proposed a bill in 2003 to give Driver's Licenses for undocumented immigrants, and once-then Governor Gray Davis signed the bill. After Davis was recalled in 2003 and when Arnold Schwarzenegger took office as governor, Schwarzenegger repealed the legislation.
