Sharon O'Neill is a singer-songwriter from New Zealand who started her career in the 1970's in her home country then gained major success in Australia with the hit Words and a string of hits following, such as How Do You Talk to Boys,Losing You and Maybe . The early 80's proved her most commercially successful with the Foreign Affairs album in 1983 spawning 3 top ten hits including Maxine. A legal battle with her then record company Sony Music caused a delay on the music scene. In 1988 Sharon returned with argueably her greatest album (if under-rated) at the time 'Danced in the Fire' on Polygram records which featured some biographical songs about the legal wrangles that had ensued her in the mid eighties. Sharon's final album was in 1991 which featured the 1st single Satin Sheets and some mature works.
