Photographs added to this article should be clearly free. No more fair use images should be used. Images showing the "GO BUFFS" and "BEAT <name>" with the CU logo that Ralphie wears would be excellent. Also, images showing the handlers and the trailer would be appreciated. If you need help with licensing information or uploading images, I would be happy to help. --MECU≈talk17:44, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Found on Flickr, thought I'd let you if you liked it before uploading. Feel free to upload to Commons yourself.
Thanks Nmajdan. I actually am the one that had the uploader change the license on that first image so we could use it on Wikipedia! It's already in the article. I don't really like the second one, though it's fairly good I guess. The guy was really nice so getting him to change that license too wouldn't be a problem. I might do it but I found like 3 or 4 others that would be better before I'd try to get that one too. Thanks for looking though. --MECU≈talk22:33, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Congratss on getting several good pics into this article already. It is great to see our mascots getting coverage. I just uploaded a new photo of Reveille yesterday. Now I realize our poor Bevo article is starting to fall behind! I need to get back and work on that one some more. Johntex\talk22:45, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'm modifying the request as I've gotten 5 images, but still none with the side of Ralphie that shows "GO BUFFS". I've found a few okay ones on flickr that are slightly blurry, and will use them unless anyone can find something better. --MECU≈talk00:30, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sticklers tend to make the distinction that "Buffalo" means animals like Water Buffalo, and that the American Buffalo is properly called a "Bison" (and that it is technically incorrect to call it a "Buffalo"). I think that the Buffalo/Bison distinction should probably be referred to in text, but that the way it is done now is poor. "Contrary to the nickname ..." -- Given that Colorado is in the Western United States, I think it should be blatantly obvious that the nickname refers to the American Buffalo (Bison). Since Buffalo is a disambiguation page with Bison as the second entry, we shouldn't get too pedantic. -- 15:21, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
