"The Pot"
Song

"The Pot" is the second single from American band Tool's album 10,000 Days. The song was their first #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. In 2008, the song received a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance. According to The Rock Radio, a video was shot over the winter holidays of 2006.[1]

Lyrical meaning

In a Guitar World interview, Adam Jones confirmed that the title is a reference to an idiomatic term for hypocrisy (i.e. the "pot calling the kettle black"). The references to 'ganja' also suggest a pun, as ganja and pot are both slang terms for marijuana
