Born January 13, 1960 in Gurnee, Illinois, Kevin Anderson is of Polish and Irish extraction.

He has been nominated for several Tony awards and won at least one.; he also won the 1999 Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play. He is also an accomplished musician. Last resided in Malibu, California.

Belonged to the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, which also featured John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, and Laurie Metcalf.

Most famous for his role as a priest on the daring TV series Nothing Sacred about a priest with self-doubts, which drew jeers from conservative Catholics who forced the show off the air, in many cases without ever having seen an episode for themselves.
