"We Break the Dawn" is an R&B song written by American singer Michelle Williams for her upcoming third studio album "Unexpected". Her manager "Matthew Knowles" stated to Billboards that We Break the Dawn will be the album first single due to the upbeat of the song lyrics.
Release
A snippet of the song was released on the internet January 2008. The song distances Williams from her trademark gospel music. The song is planned to be released in April of 08.
Music video
Williams has stated on her MySpace that there will be a music video. Williams has stated that she will not start doing promotion on the album until after the musical, because she wants to give the musical "
a year of her life".
