Template:Nihongo title is the tentatively title of a new Anime project from Walt Disney. It is to be a reimagined version of the US animated feature film Lilo & Stitch and the subsiquent spin-off series, and is is scheduled to air in Japan in October 2008.[1][2][3]


The show is to feature a Japanese girl named Hanako in place of Lilo, and will be set on a fictional island in Okinawa prefecture instead of Hawaii. To date, few details have been released. The final appearance of Hanako has yet to be decided upon though press reports have quoted officials as saying that she will be "very Japanese". It is to be animated and co-produced by the Japanese animation house Madhouse LTD. [1][2][3]

Additional information regarding the project will be released during the 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair .
