Template:Nihongo title is the tentatively title of a new Anime project from Walt Disney. It is to be a reimagined version of the US animated feature film Lilo & Stitch and the subsiquent spin-off series, and is is scheduled to air in Japan in October 2008.[1][2][3]

Development

The show is to feature a Japanese girl named Hanako in place of Lilo, and will be set on a fictional island in Okinawa prefecture instead of Hawaii. To date, few details have been released. The final appearance of Hanako has yet to be decided upon though press reports have quoted officials as saying that she will be "very Japanese". It is to be animated and co-produced by the Japanese animation house Madhouse LTD. [1][2][3]

At a recent event in Japan, the Tokyo International Anime Fair took place, showing the pilot for the series. Information was also shown around Disney's Booth, showing the cast of characters who will appear in the anime. From the information available, many of the past characters, such as [[Jumba Jookiba] and Pleakley, will also be appearing. At this point and time, it is unknown whether or not Kōichi Yamadera, who voiced Stitch in the Japanese dub of the movies and the Animated TV Series, will reprise his role as Stitch, or any past dub actors for the other characters.
