Zweiback is a type of bread that is made with eggs, sweetened, and then baked twice. The bread is sliced before being baked the second time, so that it closely resembles toast. Its major use is in feeding infants during the teething process.[1][2]

The name comes from the German "zwei", meaning "two", and "backen", meaning "to bake".[2]
