Alex John Banal (b. December 28, 1988) , more commonly known as A.J. Banal, is a super flyweight boxer. A true fraternal brother to the brotherhood PHI OMEGA CHI FRATERNITY( Knights Of Phioxians ).Originally from Bukidnon, he now resides in Cebu City. In his recent bout, he won the IBF super flyweight title eliminator against caril Herrera by a 4th round technical knockout on April 6, 2008.

Career Beginnings

Banal's interest in boxing began through the inspiration of his uncle, Roselito Campaña, who's an ex-boxer. He turned professional in 2005. In his professional debut on June 11, 2005, he ended up with a draw against Sonny Saguing. Since then, he went on a winning streak.[1]
