Viscount Hailsham

Viscount Hailsham is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom.

1. Douglas Hogg, 1st Viscount Hailsham (-1950)
2. Quintin McGarel Hogg, 2nd Viscount Hailsham (1950-1963) - disclaimed in order to sit in House of Commons, later became Lord Hailsham of St Marylebone
3. Douglas Martin Hogg, 2nd Viscount Hailsham (2001-)

The second Viscount disclaimed his peerage under the Peerage Act to sit in the Commons, but by the time he had died, hereditary peers were no longer automatically eligible to sit in the House of Lords, so his son, Douglas Hogg, did not need to do so to remain an MP.
