"Beggin'" is the title of a song composed by Bob Gaudio and Peggy Farina and popularized by The Four Seasons in 1967. The second single from the group's New Gold Hits album was produced by Bob Crewe, it reached the #16 position on the Billboard Hot 100 charts as lead singer Frankie Valli's "solo" recording output (with Four Seasons participation) was beginning to take more and more of the group's energy (his biggest "solo" hit of the 1960s, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", was released in May, only three weeks before the Four Seasons' last Top Ten hit of the decade, "C'mon Marianne").

In 2007, French musician Pilooski, re-edited and released his version of the song on the 2nd of June. This version reached #32 in the UK and #1 on the UK Dance Chart. It's the first single of the album "Beggin' The Ultimate Collection". The Pilooski re-edit, does not include any new instrumentation or vocals but is purely a manipulation of the original recording made by The Four Seasons, using echo and phase-polarisation.

The same year the Norwegian hip hop band Madcon released their version of the song. This version got very popular and reached the #1 position of the Norwegian VG Music Charts.[1] Madcons version of the song is a total re-recording, all instruments are performed by production-team 3Elementz, and all vocals by Madcon. The song has reached 6 times Norwegian platinum sales, the highest selling song in Norway in 2007, and has received the "hit of the year" spellemann-price(Norwegian Grammy-like award).
