Belmont Abbey College is a private liberal-arts college located in Belmont, North Carolina, near Charlotte. It was founded in 1876 by the Benedictine monks of Belmont Abbey, North Carolina. The school is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.

The majority (53%) of Belmont Abbey's graduates receive their degrees in business or marketing. The school also offers degree programs in biology, computer/information sciences, education, English, liberal arts/general studies, medicine (pre-med), parks and recreation, philosophy/religion/theology, psychology and history.

Belmont Abbey's athletic teams are nicknamed the Crusaders, and participate in the NCAA's Division II, where they are a member of the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference.
