An Illustrated History of the State of Washington, by Rev. H.K. Hines, D.D., The Lewis Publishing Co., Chicago, IL. 1893
HIRAM BURNETT, one of the well-known pioneers of the Puget Sound country, and an honored citizen of Seattle, was born at Southborough, Massachusetts, July 5, 1817. His parents were Charles Ripley and Kezia (Pond) Burnett, both natives of the Bay State and descendants of pioneer ancestry, all of whom followed agricultural pursuits. Charles Ripley Burnett was also a harness maker. Our subject was educated in time public schools of Southborough and at the city of Worcester, Massachusetts.
At the age of eighteen years he began learning the carpenter's trade in Framingham, and after four years of service went to Rhode Island, where he continued in that occupation. He was married in Lowell, Massachusetts, in 1845, to Miss Elizabeth Merriam Gibbs, and continued to reside in the State of Rhode Island until 1852, when, after providing comfortable arrangements for his family he started for California.
Duly arriving in San Francisco, he found ready employment in one of the planing mills at $7 per day. He remained in San Francisco until 1855, and then came to Port Gamble, under engagement with the Puget Mill Company, an affiliate of Pope & Talbot as superintendent of their planing mill, in 1856 he returned to time East for his family, but instead of his returning at once to the Pacific coast he located in Kansas. He was there as a Free Soil Movement supporter having been influenced by the aboitionist Rev. Thomas Wentworth Higginson.
After a short time, however, he became dissatisfied with the conditions in that State, and in 1856 he removed to Puget Sound again, returning to the employ of the Port Gamble mill, in his old position of superintendent. In 1862 he removed his family to Seattle, in order to improve the educational advantages of his children who were Charles Hiram Burnett and Elanor Marie Burnett wife of Stephen Pearl Andrews II.
At that time he purchased four lots on Fourth street, between Marion and Columbia, and subsequently added two more lots, at an average price of $100 each. His was the first house erected on Fourth street. This is now the location of the Ranier Club of Seattle After thus providing a home for his family, he returned to mill work in various localities, at which he continued until 1878, when he retired from active labor and permanently settled in Seattle and began improving his property, which is now well covered with substantial houses for tenants.
In 1880 he bought ten acres of land at Edgewater, in Lake Union addition, which he subdivided and sold for residence purposes, except four lots on time corner of Richard and Henry streets, upon which, in the summer of 1890, he erected an elegant and spacious residence, overlooking the beautiful lake, where he now resides in the full enjoyment of the fruits of his labors, accompanied by his dear wife, the companion of his pioneer struggles.
Two children have been born to Mr. Burnett and wife, one of whom survives, - Charles H., - who is superintendent of the South Prairie Coal Company at Burnett, Pierce county, and who is active in the coal development of time State.
Elanor Marie Burnett was the wife of tinware and stove dealer Stephen Pearl Andrews II nephew of the political essayist Stephen Pearl Andrews Esq.
Politically, Mr. Burnett was a stanch Republican. While at Port Gamble, Washington he served as Justice of the Peace, and for ten years as Probate Judge, and has also served a term as Commissioner of King county. In that role he was one of four co incorporators of the city of Seattle. Mr. Burnett is the recognized father of Trinity Episcopal Church, of Seattle, which was founded by him and Rt. Rev. Wistar Morris in 1865. The first church erected in 1869 out of wood he obtained twice due to pilfering. He was one of the first Vestrymen, and served in that capacity and as Senior Warden up to 1889, when he withdrew to assist in time organization of St. Mark's Church, in which he has continued as Senior Warden.
Hiram Burnett was among the financial backers of Asa Mercer and brought out his sister and several neighbors from Massachusetts as wives for friends and neighbors in Puget Sound.
While in the performance of mill work obtaining logs from about the Sound he was always active in Sunday-school work, and had done much pioneer work in that capacity, always exerting his influence on the side of morality and in the upbuilding of Christian institutions. He also established congregations among Indians in both Washington and British Columbia.
As a pioneer and citizen Mr. Burnett stood in the same relation to Seattle and the Sound country as such old citizens as A.A. Denny, Thomas Mercer, Henry Van Asselt, George Whitworth, J.J. McGilvra, Orange Jacobs, Dexter Horton, and many others, who are regarded not only as the pioneers but as the most honored men of the State of Washington today.

Opening Scenes
Retake volume 01 begins where End of Evangelion left off with Shinji strangling Asuka on the beach after third Impact.
Asuka mutters her final words which are "Kimochi warui", (translated into English in the as "I feel sick", and
as "How disgusting" in the EOE dub). From their Shinji wakes up in the hospital just after the 12th angel attack With
Rei sitting by the bed and Asuka behind the door (just as in the anime). From this point on Shinji has seen all the
events of the future take place and wishes to change these events. The first taught of this though comes in a synchro
test where Shinji's synchro rate sky rockets but when he is made aware he suppresses his true power so he doesn't make Asuka
fell like she is losing to him.
Angel Bardiel
The next events are the same as the anime/manga from the same time window, Toji is selected as the next Eva pilot and Kensuke
has his little wine about not getting picked. Although all of this is happening Shinji acts differently towards Asuka
in a more positive and welcome friend to her trying to do the correct thing and not be the wimp he was before which he does quite well. As all of this is happening Rei is being pushed aside and starts to get relay depressed and showing affection towards Shinji but he has seen everything and knows exactly what she is and this scares him.
The battle of the 13th Angel is different from the original story. Asuka still wanting to show off ends up charging in and
attacking unit 03/Bardiel, The roles are reversed from the original story as now Asuka is getting choked instead of Shinji.
As her vital signs fade Unit 01 and Shinji charge in to save her and succeeded not only in saving Asuka but retrieving Toji
with only a dislocated shoulder but shows his true strength in the process. This makes Asuka extremely enraged and She ends
up having a fight with him in Misato's apartment. After the fight Asuka storm's off leaving Shinji by himself where he says
the following "I didn't want for that to happen... Is it okay to let her be like that?" Then he has a flash back of the 14th
Angel Zeruel.
Angel Zeruel
The battle with Zeruel begins the same with the Angel breaching the 18 layers of armor protecting the GeoFront. Shinji already
ready rushes into fight, Asuka launches her self in unit 02 in a fit of rage as she still doesn't want to lose to Shinji. Stunned
she watches Unit 01 fight the angel asking herself how Shinji is able to control his Eva so well "There's no way Shinji can move
that way..." Not wanting to lose to Shinji she opens fire with her rifle on the angle and once again the roles are reversed.
Zeruel attacks with the blow the Decapitates Unit 02's head in the anime/manga but Shinji jumps in front of her and unit 01's head
is removed (This scene is different from the anime/manga where Asuka would have ran at Zeruel and had the nerve connections
disconnected before the blow hit in retake she didn't run and the blow would have been fatal) but some how unit 01's nerve connections
are disconnected just prior to the blow hit. Unit 01 now headless and Asuka in a hysterical state Shinji manages to reactivate unit 01
and defeat Zeruel. Now thought this Scene Rei is pushed to the side as Asuka is shattered and clearly shows in her facial expression
her belief of Shinji's death.
Evangelion Retake is a dojinshi written by studio kimigabuchi, trying to present a plausible ending to The End of Evangelion. The story is considered well written and although it does contain some hentai (pornographic material), it is relevant to the story, expressing emotions and feelings of the characters as well as the plain obvious.
Change of the Story
From here the story changes for the original. At this point in the original story everything went down hill leading to the outcome of EOE.
Just like the second scene in retake Shinji once again wakes up in the hospital but this time Asuka is standing over him. Once again
a reverse of events this time Rei is standing at the door listening to the conversation. Asuka starts off being her typical self but
almost snaps when he says the following to Shinji "I'm here to tell you something... Th... Th...Think you're so good hah?! Stop getting in my way!"
She then proceeds to say to she could have taken down the Angel by herself and she didn't need his help. Sarcasm is the next thing that
she starts uttering to Shinji when he yells "SHUT UP". Shinji finally tells Asuka why he was always acting the way he was in front of
everybody, not to show off but to protect her. Rei still stands at the door and listens.
Rei part 1
The next Synchro test Shinji and Asuka both excel but Rei's scores begin to fall. Misato and Ritsuko begin to discuss the matter when
the topic of Rei acting strangely starts. Ritsuko explains that she wanted to borrow some blue contact lenses which shocks Misato but
Ritsuko says the following. "Isn't it amusing? Rei's thought pathways... Are infantile in relation to love".
Kaji
Shinji now in a mess as what to do is sitting by himself when Kaji happens to walk in. Shinji expresses his views on the situation to Kaji
who in a very grown up way explains females to Shinji. This is very similar to the talk in the anime Shinji and Kaji have but this time
Shinji has it explained to him that he is the one running the show. This is where one of the most important lines in retake are said. Kaji
explains to Shinji all the choices are his to make now "I'm acting like a know-it-all, but in reality... the one who makes the final decision
is... yourself". With these words of wisdom Shinji leaves.
Rei part 2
Shinji rushing through the corridors of Nerv running late is confronted by Rei. With a very blank look on her face (she actually looks distressed)
grabs Shinji and proceeds to drag him away whilst he questions her "Why are you doing this? Tell me what's wrong". Whilst this is happening Asuka
happens to walk around the corner and notice Rei dragging Shinji down the hallway, where she proceeds to follow (keeping out of sight).
Shinji:"Hey! Where are you going?"
Rei:"Room... ...My..."
Shinji pulls away explaining to her he needs to get going which starts Rei (another reverse of roles) off down hill. She questions him on where it is he needs to go asking about Asuka and if it's her he is going to see; which he replys simply "Yes". Now very upset and almost about to cry, Shinji notices
her blue eyes. Rei then proceeds with the following as she brakes down into a mental state of stupidity (like Asuka).
"Blue eyes are... like the
Second's... The eye color that Ikari-kun likes... But... It's still not enough".
Behind Shinji a new Nerv logo is being painted on the wall with a bucket of red paint on the ground next to the wall. He picks up the paint and tips it all over her head. "Red... hair The hair color Ikari-kun likes... Just like the Second. Anta Baka".
She continues to ramble on until Shinji screams her name at the top of his lungs
"AYANAMI REI!!!"
Asuka is still watching and becoming distressed herself.
Shinji then proceeds to tell Rei he likes Asuka and there is nothing that can replace her. A few more exchanging of words results in Asuka bursting out crying and leaving Rei in a state of shock Shinji proceeds to hug her, "I cant... come to your room" She then says Anta Baka once more.
During that whole conversation Misato and Ritsuko had been watching on the cameras, which leads to events further on.
Asuka Accepts Shinji
Shinji comes home from work surprised the apartment is empty. He walks in calling Asuka when she dives on him naked, hugging him. Shocked, Shinji proceeds to question her (funny note an image in this scene is what looks like a 2x4 holding the door to pen2 fridge shut whilst he belts on it trying to get out) she
ignores the questions and starts her own.
"You... like me... right...? I heard you in the halls earlier".
Shinji, quite shocked by the outcome of what's going on. Asuka then wants the acceptance she never got. (what she did want in Evangelion in the mind rape scene someone to hold her and love her),
"You... You'll never love anyone else in the whole world for the rest of your life. Only me. Do you promise?"
Shinji then refuses to her crying and accepts her promise and makes the same back to her. (The next part is why retake gets so many turn aways but don't worry because you can skip the pages 74 to 82).
Asuka and Shinji then proceed to have a very adult relationship with no contraception (this is vital to the story).
Later that night Shinji is laying next to Asuka as she sleeps very happily "Sleeping like a baby" as quoted by Shinji. Now the story adds a new character, she has many names Phantom Asuka & 3I Asuka are the most common names. This Second Asuka from EOE appears at the end of the bed scaring the S**T out of Shinji as he sees double. He then asks her if he is still dreaming that dream which she replies
"Yes to you I am just something from your dreams".
Still bandaged from her reincarnation she proceeds to remove the plug suit in front of him reviling her scarred body. Shinji is very shocked by the state of her body and begins to move back from her as she amps up. "I cant forgive you. You. You tried to kill me before". She begins to get under his skin when he wakes up thinking it must have been just a dream. At that moment the phone rings. Misato explains to Shinji there are some documents that she wants taken over to Rei. Then she tells him it's a order although there only school documents. (this is explained a bit better in All Ages).
Rei's Suicide
Rei feeling extremely depressed from the events of the day finally goes into the mental state where she wants to die. Pushed out of Shinji's life and ignored and finally being told the truth about Asuka and his feeling for her Rei finally gives in. Looking very very upset she has the kettle on just like in the manga. Shinji arrives at the door to her apartment where after proceeding in, finds Rei's lifeless body hanging in front of him. Her last words are quoted from the NGE manga when Rei burns her hands on the kettle.
"The first time I touched them I felt nothing. The second it was a bit unpleasant? The third time they were warm. The fourth time... I was happy. May I... Touch them again? ... Ikari-kun's... ...hands".
The scene then cuts back to Asuka searching for Shinji in the apartment wondering where he has gone she lays back on the bed and contemplates being nice to Rei
" The first... Maybe from now on... I should start treating her better. Starting tomorrow, I'll start to call her by her name at least. Ayanami Rei".
Upon Asuka saying Rei the scene cuts back to Shinji who in on his knees screaming.

Zen Yoga is a holistic practice that unites the three parts of the self - body, mind and spirit. It combines the graceful movements of tai chi, the energized breathing of qigong and the relaxed stretching of Shanti (peace) yoga. The basic principle of Zen Yoga is that the benefits of simple breathing, movement and stretching exercises are available to anyone regardless of age, fitness ability or health status. While many modern yoga practices tend toward dynamic poses, Zen Yoga is more concerned with helping people feel better with simple and effective practices.
founder
Zen Yoga was founded by Aaron Hoopes in 2002 after over twenty years of studying martial arts, yoga and various Eastern healing traditions. He is the author of Perfecting Ourselves: Coordinating Body, Mind and Spirit and Breathe Smart: The Secret to Happiness, Health and Long Life. In 2007 Mr. Hoopes wrote Zen Yoga: A Path to Enlightenment through Breathing, Movement and Meditation. This book sets down the fundamental principles of Zen Yoga and creates the framework for Zen Yoga as a life practice.
organization
The structure of Zen Yoga is much like a traditional martial art where students advance through levels after studying and practicing for extended periods of time. Zen Yoga has instructors and practitioners around the world in countries including Australia, Japan, South Africa, and Canada. Zen Yoga is part of the International Yoga Federation which is based in India.

Student Response Systems are sometimes referred to as Classroom Performance Systems, Classroom Response Systems, or
more generally known as Audience Response Systems. Student Response Systems are Audience Response Systems that are used to achieve pedagogical goals in in the classroom. According to Kaleta and Joosten (2007), "Student Response Systems (SRS) or clicker systems are increasingly being adopted by faculty and are transforming traditionally passive lecture courses into stimulating and active classes...Once in the classroom, faculty can pose questions at pedagogically strategic moments in the course and allow students to respond using the second component of a Student Response System, the personal response unit or clicker, to send their responses to the classroom computer. These personal response units vary in size from the equivalent of a large television remote to that of a credit card, but they all essentially do the same thing. Students press a number from 0 through 9 to indicate their response to the question being asked by an instructor. The third component of a Student Response System is the receiver, which usually connects to the computer being used in the classroom through the USB port and captures responses from students' clickers" (p.2).
