About your edit on Talk:June 29. You may want to see WP:WikiProject Days of the year; Even if a movie is important, they generally aren't included in day articles. Also, Ratatouille (film) won at the Oscars or Academy Award, not the Oscar's!!! Cheers, Reywas92Talk 00:28, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Juthani, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You have to show why that name is important - sources showing how many people have the name, notable people with that name - otherwise this becomes the telephone directory not an encyclopedia. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 17:20, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. RE: Greetings

Jai Swaminarayan!

Thanks for the greetings. I'm curious; which particularly Swaminarayan-related edits are you referring to? -- Harish - 23:07, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciate. Thanks to you to for your edits. Hope you keep them constructive. I'm a BAPS follower. How about you? If you need any help editing, please feel free to ask. I should let you know that it's not easy to edit, some people follow strict policies set by the wikipedia people. Haha, yeah I replied quick - happened to be online is all. Hard to miss that message at the top which lets you know about new messages. -- Harish - 23:17, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I'm at a mandir in Luton (not far from London). What's your region? By the way - you don't have to delete your messages. -- Harish - 23:26, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. I've heard great things about the Chicago mandir. Did you take full laabh when Bapa was over their? I'm a kishore too, Another year and I'm a yuvak which sucks haha.-- Harish - 23:39, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dignitaries and records mean nothing compared to the spiritual enlightenment that you receive from being at a mandir. I've found one or two other satsangi editors, but they didn't stick around. And no, I don't mind you messaging me bro. -- Harish - 22:21, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, yeah I saw. I happened to write to him as you wrote to me. You're quite the networker - you could make that a useful seva.-- Harish - 22:29, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jai Swaminarayan,

Thank you for the greetings. I guess you were referring to my edits Bhagwan Swaminarayan related pages(because of the greeting you used and because I couldnt help noticing the above conversation). Good to know that there are other satsangi's on Wikipedia who devote time to Swaminarayan-related articles. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 18:36, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I take it that user 69.208.135.5 is you. Thanks again your the compliment - you yourself have made some notable edits which I compliment. No, I am not a member of BAPS, but of the Original Swaminarayan Sampraday. I do however, hold BAPS in the highest regard (I have infact visited BAPS temples in Gandhinagar (Akshardham) and London (Neasden), and they are architectural wonders). I am from Mumbai, presently pursuing my postgraduation in the UK. Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, its great meeting other satsangi's on such a forum - Pl. do contact me in case you need any help. BY the way - what is a Kishore (Bal Satsangi??) Wheredevelsdare (talk) 22:10, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - dint know that. Both - actually I am a member of the Swamirayan Sampraday, the Vadtal Gaadi and the Ahmedabad Gaadi together form the Swaminarayan Sampraday. If you ask which gaadi I come under, well my ancestorial roots are in Kutch, which comes under Ahmedabad and Mumbai, where my family has been based for more than a century now, comes under Vadtal, so again I consider myself under both. So your from Indianapolis - considering your a kishore, I guess your still in university like me. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 22:31, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Harish - you seem to be good at networking. Considering your still at high school, I must compliment your knowledge, specially of the Swaminarayan Faith. To be frank, altough I visited the temple from time to time when I was in school and had some knowledge on Bhagwan Swaminarayan then, it was only when I was in juniour college (In India (Esp. Bombay) we follow the 10 + 2 + 3 format so its school, junior college and degree college) when I learned a lot about the faith. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 23:02, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Muktanand Swami and Paramhansa

As for the first article, no problem, just make sure that you know the correct facts when you edit in the future. As for Paramhansa, I'm a bit confused. You mean that you have 2 Paramhansa articles with different spellings? If that is the case then the article with the right or most used spelling should be made the main article. The other two spellings can redirect to it (use the toolbox on top of the edit section for a redirect). In case you meant that the Muktanand Swami page should be merged with Paramhansa, I dont think that would be right. What you could do is have a small section on Muktanand Swami on the Paramhansa page and mention there that the main article on Muktanand Swami is Muktanand Swami. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 23:38, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'v just gone through the two pages, and there's no doubt that they need to be merged (Infact theres been a discussion on that - have you seen that? - I suggest you do). I am not aware of the rules on merging articles on wikipedia - have not merged articles before. By facts right I meant that you should know the correct facts before you edit, like in the case of Muktanand Swami you mentioned that you 'thought' that there was no Sampraday at that point, whereas the Swaminarayan Sampraday was very much there at that time. Dont get me wrong, I dint mean to criticise you in any way, just wanted you to know that you should know the facts when you edit. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 23:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Juthani1, I'v not actually gone through the articles again - but if you say you have completed the merge, what you so is you need to delete all the info on the alternate page and redirect it to the page where you have merged the info. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 10:00, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I just saw this after editing another article. I see Wheredevelsdare has looked it over and he's made some good observations and points. With Muktanand Swami, he is also correct to say that there indeed was a Sampraday, during his time, it simply just wasn't referred to as the Swaminarayan Sampraday. Good find though, thanks for bringing this to my attention. -- Harish - 00:09, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Harish, again you might be right to say that the Sampraday was not known as the Swaminarayan Sapraday at that time (As before Swaminarayan Sampraday it was known as the Uddhav Sampraday from Ramanand Swami's (Who was an incarnation of Uddhavji)time, but I do not know exactly from when the name changed over .. I will try and find some source to tell when the name actually changed .. I hope that will be alright with you guys). One thing I forgot to mention earier, is that Muktanand Swami was instrumental in getting Sahajanand Swami (Neelkanth Varni) into the Sampraday fold. P.S. In regards to your comment: It's not the "real" page - try highlighting the page to see why. Try looking for hidden links around my userspace, and it will take you to my secret page, hopefully. You'll know it's the right one when it comes up with a message inviting you to do "Level Two"... Hope this helps! microchip08 (find my secret page!) 19:54, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Again, welcome!  --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 20:45, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
I'm not an admin (at least not on this project), but I'm glad your deletion request was dealt with. If you want suggestions for what you can do, just tell me what you're interested in, or try some of the above suggestions.
--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 19:15, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The best thing is to start reading stuff, find articles which you can improve (for example, navigating from Category:Cardiovascular diseases), and start changing the article. You can make corrections or add new information. Others will edit your work too. --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 19:21, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Swami Narayan

I will clarify my position in a few weeks time and will bring experience Hinduism-related editors to this discussion, so that Swami-narayan devotees don't distort the facts. The one point I bring up now however, is that you said he is god in Swaminarayanism, which is not Hinduism, but one minor sect. I would request you to explain between him, and Chaitnya Mahaprabhu from the perspectives of the Gaudiya Vaishnavas. Thanks GizzaDiscuss © 07:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Bhagwan Swaminarayan

JSN,

Cool down mate - u sounded really hot in the msg u left - yea i had a problem with the edit and objected on the talk page. I hv just gone thru the conv. bttn u and Dagizza - and his profile. This chap is an administrator and probably knows what he is doing. He too has agreed in the above message to have a discussion on this (and bring in experts) - you can also raise your objections (make sure that your objections are not based on your point of view and on actual facts and that you have proof to back up those facts - otherwise the objections you raise will be redundant - remember wikipedia is a global public forum). I have kept Harish too in the loop of things - it is together that we all can make the article on Shreeji Maharaj an exellent article. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 07:50, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What I want to tell you is that nobody has won a war when they fight with anger, without realising the concequences, a war is won by playing it like a game of chess, slowly and thoughtfully. By no means is this a war, but in this sense life is like a war, you must think and do things and not loose your cool, whatever the matter may be, and victory will always be yours. You are young, know a lot, but still have a lot to learn (things that come with age - makes me sound tooooo old - dosnt this!!!), and if you go about things properly, you can go a long way. As for your suggestion, I dont think that would be the right way to go as in some ways you may be right, but after all Bhagwan is like a guru, but he is not a guru but Bhagwan himself, so putting him in a guru category would not be correct according to me - I think putting someone like Ramanand Swami in a guru category is totally correct, however Shri Hari is the Lord himself. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 22:06, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
JSN, you need not be sorry - you did the right thing - put your views forward on the talk page of the article - and I told you my views. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 01:09, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bhai, I strongly recommend you do not take matters like this and allow them to be turned into personal issues (e.g. taking it to Gizza's talk page). It should be left in the talk page of the article at question, furthermore this personal method puts more of a focus on the issue, meaning that it's gonna be a bigger issue to answer to. Whilst we should defend our beliefs, we have to respect other people's stance... so to take it to him personally is addressing a manner that we cannot simply change his mind on, and with him being more authoritative on Wikipedia (he's an administrator, as it's been pointed out), it's easier for him to want to keep a lock on this once he feels like he's not won, as such. Put it like this: did you ever here about stories from back in the day, where sanstha's would put their beliefs on the line in debates, and whoever would win the debate, would claim the followers of the losing sanstha, thus changing their beliefs? In this situation, if this debate goes on and he feels that his mind hasn't been swayed, being the admin he can effective push his views ahead, and leave Bhagwan Swaminarayan simply to be seen as a guru. I have more to say, but I gotta go out so I'm leaving my point there. Just be prepared. I'll help as I can. -- Harish - 18:09, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have made a userbox for Maharaj's followers, you could add this to your user page if you like, just add {{user:UBX/Swaminarayan}} to your user page. Regards, Wheredevelsdare (talk) 01:32, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Appologies - btw .. saw ur userboxes .. my god you have quite a few!! 1 thing I noticed was tht u hv both NRI and PIO boxes. How can u be both? an NRI is one who is an Indian Citizen and resident of another country .. and a PIO is a person of Indian origin but a citizen of another country .. Wheredevelsdare (talk) 07:32, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, may be wrong but the article u sd clearly mentions tht an NRI is an Indian Citizen who ... (implying tht all NRI are Indian Citizens). Yea, it does include the common useage part, but officially NRI have gotta be Indian Citizens ..Wheredevelsdare (talk) 22:18, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grey's anatomy is a television series while Gray's anatomy is a classical anatomy textbook, no spelling mistake there I think.

Bhagwan Swaminarayan

Hello Juthani1. I see you have edited articles related to Bhagwan Swaminarayan. I am a member of the Vaishnavism wikiproject, Wikipedia:WikiProject Hinduism/Vaishnavism. I was wondering if you had any information on whether the followers of Bhagwan Swaminarayan consider themselves to be a part of the Vaishnava religious tradition. I know many scholars place them within this category. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 23:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
