Fun Facts

Most people who live in Sanjurge are all older men and women because a lot of its population immigrated to the United States and France in the late 1970's, early 1980's. The majority of Sanjurge's inhabitants cultivate their own fruits and vegetables, raise their own ducks chickens, and small animals and go into the main city to buy the rest of their everyday needs. There are only two coffee shops and one bar located in the center of this small village. There is also a single classroom school and recreation center a block or two from the center.

It is located in the center of Sanjurge and was constructed in the 15/16 century. In 1972 a fire destroyed more then half of the church, was rebuilt shortly after.
