Carmarthen Athletic Rugby Football Club are one of two Welsh rugby union clubs based in Carmarthen in West Wales. They currently play in the WRU 1st Division West league. The Club also run 2nd's team "The Druid's" who currently play in Llanelli and district Division one. The Club run a youth team along with many age grade teams from under 16's downwards.


The club was formed in 1944 after the Second World War. The club played its home games at Five Fields until the land was sold to Tesco for a new store[2]. Carmarthen Athletic used the money to build a new facility in Johnstown, Carmarthen. The new facility includes a training barn which was used by the Welsh national team before the South Africa game on 24 November 2007, there are also alote of sport sides playing in the barn including the llanelli scarlets [3]. However, the club now mainly plays its home games in Carmarthen Park. the club now does play in carmathen and will be hosting division 1 sides next year.

The club kit comprises a black jersey with red sripes on the arms and under the arms, black shorts and black socks with red tops.


The club song is "Early in The Morning".
