Factotum is a novel in which Henry Chinaski, Bukowskis alter ego, gets and looses jobs. The plot is simple but the tone is fascinating. Chinaski's journey through different jobs is always accompanied by alcohol, sex, women and the usual humourous and sharp wit and depression.
