Doogal is from the United States and has lived in Maryland, Michigan and Washington, D.C.. She has also lived for a year in Barnaul, Altai Krai, Russia; and for six months in Moscow, Russia. She is currently completing a degree in International Studies, along with minors in Russian and Music, at American University in Washington, D.C.. Besides Russian, she also speaks some German and Spanish.

Doogal enjoys lobsters, pandas and khachapuri.
