Who else thinks that this should be archived? --haha169 (talk) 01:37, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do, and have done so. bibliomaniac15 01:42, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And on the new Hannah DVD One in a Million, there needs to be 4 episodes not three. The fourth is "Thats What Friends Are For?" and the Thats So Raven episode is not Mother Dearest, its Clothes Minded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.107.147 (talk) 17:03, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article Introduction

Okay, so apparently, the article introduction is too short, and I think so too. However, those few sentences summarizes the story without offering enough detail. In other words, I think the entire introduction needs to be rewritten except for the first sentence. Anyone have enough information on the topic to do that? No useless information please --haha169 (talk) 01:07, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it needed only a couple extra sentences on the end, so I added them. Here's what I think it should be:

Hannah Montana is an American Emmy Award-nominated[1] children's television series, which debuted on March 24, 2006 on Disney Channel. The series focuses on Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus), who lives a double life as an average teenage girl at school during the day, and a famous pop singer (Hannah Montana) at night, concealing her real identity from the public, other than her close friends and family. The comedic show has included several “Disney stars” such as Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, and John D’Aquino. Most of the episode names are based of famous songs. This TV series has led to two albums of songs from the show, several DVDs, two concert tours, with one of them being turned a 3d movie, and “Hannah Montana: The Movie.” So far, Hannah Montana, and associated events/items have been extremely successful. -- dr.scholl201 (talk) 01:49, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good but drop last sentence unless it can be backed up with a reference. Also drop the scare quotes around Disney stars. --NrDg 01:56, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a re-edit:

Hannah Montana is an American Emmy Award-nominated[1] children's television series, which debuted on March 24, 2006 on Disney Channel. The series focuses on Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus), who lives a double life as an average teenage girl at school during the day, and a famous pop singer (Hannah Montana) at night, concealing her real identity from the public, other than her close friends and family. The comedic show has included several Disney stars such as Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, and John D’Aquino, as well as other stars like Dolly Parton, The Jonas Brothers, and Billy Ray Cyrus. Most of the episode names are based off of famous songs. This TV series has led to two multi-platinum albums of songs from the show, several DVDs, twoa concert tours, with one of them being turned and a 3d movie of the tour, and “Hannah Montana: The Movie.” —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.scholl201 (talkcontribs) 17:20, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Probably shouldn't mention Hannah Montana: The Movie yet in the lede. Made some suggested edits. Rest looks good to me. --NrDg 18:18, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really think this is getting us far at all. Two full months of no discussion...and the intro is still less than 5 lines long. I'm going to add some serious, cited material. --haha169 (talk) 00:47, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow...this job is difficult. I'm not too familiar with the subject, and I can't find sufficient material within the article. Can I suggest something? The second paragraph should be a short on how production began. The third one should be its current critical reception and popularity, and the last one should be about outside stuff, like apparel etc. That would be a good start. --haha169 (talk) 00:55, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Cancellation

Now I know this is not a forum but I did hear on the Radio that their is a possiblilty that they might cancelle Hannah Montana, but I'm not quite sure if this is true or not, but I was just wondering if anyone else has heard? Plus I think we should try and find a source that might have some info. So I will try my best to find out if it is a rumour or going to happen for real. Headstrong 345 (talk) 19:41, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Headstrong 345[reply]

We would need something authoritative as a source for this type of info such as a real Disney press release, which is where this type of thing will be announced. The only thing I've seen is something that is obviously fake (quotes purportedly by Americans are using British vocabulary and grammar) that has been floating around the rumor sites and upsetting fans. There is nothing reliable backing this up. Suggest you don't waste your time looking for a source. --NrDg 20:23, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And there's no way Disney Channel would give what is probably their most profitable series ever the ax without a serious cause. (Not if that executive wanted to be employed the next day.) WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 14:06, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay thanks for clearing that up for me. It is much appricated. Headstrong 345 (talk) 23:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Headstrong 345[reply]

FWIW, after reading Headstrong 345's interesting question yesterday, I ran some checks on Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, and Google News for a possible cancellation of the show. If it were even suggested in mainstream reliable sources, it would have shown up for sure on one of those news media databases. I couldn't find anything. Plot?

This arcticle has nothing about the show's plot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.184.243.179 (talk) 22:45, 4 February 2008 (UTC) they would NEVER cancel hannah montanna unless they were crazy or if it was a matter of life and death!!! Behind the Spotlight?

Is there a source for the Volume 5 DVD? I can't believe it's real without one. None of those episodes have aired yet, and it seems unlikely they will all air by April 1. The movie hasn't been started yet, either. Finally, Emily Osment's song was not done by Disney, so Disney does not own the rights, meaning they would have to pay to use it. I think it should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.226.25.91 (talk) 23:22, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I definatley agree, this is not a real dvd. There is no proof of it, and most of the episodes are not real. Remove it immediately.
Removed until we can get support. --NrDg 04:11, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HUH?

Please don't believe everything you read online, Wikipedia can be edited by anyone and as a result several spammers, trolls and idiots use this to their advantage. The article is locked now so I assume all the information on the current page is correct. Eatspie (talk) 21:19, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The article is only semi-protected, not fully protected. This means new and anonymous users can't edit it - everyone else can. Reduces chances of vandalism a bit but still allows good-faith errors to creep in. --NrDg 01:54, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Hannah Montana Logo.PNG

Image:Hannah Montana Logo.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

About the Hannah Montana discography...

Shouldn't someone add the Holiday Edition of the first Hannah Montana album? 98.193.77.218 (talk) 07:05, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missing character, possible vandilism

I just checked the bottom of the page and the "Rico" article was gone. Was this vandilism?

Proceeding to deletion

I'm proceeding to delete the "Roxy" article and before anyone says it is not allowed I will explain why. It's because Roxy isn't a main character and doesn't deserve a seperate article. Same thing with Jake Ryan. I know that they aren't main characters because they would appear in the Main credits. If they are in the main cast as of season 3, you can put it back up. Until then, I'll delete any links to these pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deathlive2 (talkcontribs) 00:43, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Goofs

I just removed this goof, because like trivia it is not relavant to the page.

  • At the end of "Torn Between Two Hannahs", after Albert Dontzig takes the Jack-o-lantern candy bucket, Bobby Ray talked in a later scene and the candy bucket was there again.
Mouseinthehouse (talk) 18:47, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Um it is Robbie Ray not Bobby Ray. Brycemoose (talk) 19:50, 07 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, it is Bobby Ray. In this episode Bobby Ray appeared (Robbie Ray's cousin/brother?) Mouseinthehouse (talk) 15:39, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simple English Wikipedia

I'm working on improving the Hannah Montana Simple English Wiki, but I'm trying to upload the logo for the show and can't get it to work. Can anybody who knows how to do it have a go? Mouseinthehouse (talk) 19:37, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Read simple:Wikipedia:Image use policy. Nonfree images and uploads are not allowed, only Commons images can be used. bibliomaniac15 Midway upon life's journey... 22:56, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tried uploading it to commons but once I put it in the article it came up as text. Mouseinthehouse (talk) 17:47, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do not upload the logo into the Commons. Commons does not allow copyrighted images, it can only have free images. bibliomaniac15 Midway upon life's journey... 22:03, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

By Day, By Night

We should remove that thing in the first paragraph that says she's Miley by day and Hannah by night. It's not like she magically turns into Hannah at sundown- she becomes Hannah when she needs to, like at appearances and stuff. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.160.222.253 (talk) 21:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, it might be best to rephrase it, although I don't think it's too bad as is. A very common tagline for her character is "schoolgirl-by-day, rockstar-by-night", so maybe that could be quoted in the body of the article somewhere (with refs). --JamieS93 13:34, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
