Peter Allen David is an author. He has written for almost every conceivable medium and has acquired a substantial following in each. He has written novels, screenplays, comic books, interactive books, television programs, essays, and short stories.

One of the most prolific comic book writers, his stories are characterized by their deft mingling of real world issues with humour and references to popular culture. Some of the highlights of his career include a ground-breaking and award-winning twelve year stint on The Incredible Hulk, Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Aquaman, Supergirl, Star Trek, Sachs and Violens, The Atlantis Chronicles, Heroes Return, X-Factor, Wolverine, Merc, Justice, Soulsearchers and Company, The Phantom, and many others.

In the literary field, David has had over forty novels published, including numerous appearances on the New York Times bestseller list. He is probably best known for his high profile Star Trek novels, including Imzadi, one of the best selling Star Trek novels of all time. He is also the co-creator and author of the bestselling New Frontier series taking place in the Star Trek universe. He has also written original science fiction and fantasy works, including Knight Life and Howling Mad, as well as numerous choose your own adventure books and a biography of James Doohan (Scotty from Star Trek). His opinion column "But I Digress" is a staple of the Comic Buyer's Guide magazine and one of the consistently popular features.

Before David became a professional writer, he was a prolific author of fan fiction, including "The Tardis on Pooh Corner".

David is the co-creator, with popular science fiction icon Bill Mumy (of Lost in Space and Babylon 5 fame), of the television series Space Cases, which ran for two seasons on Nickelodeon. He has also written several scripts for Babylon 5, and its spinoff Crusade. He has also written and co-produced several films for Full Moon Entertainment and has made cameo appearances in some of the films as well.
