Yūsei Fudō (不動遊星, Fudō Yūsei) is the main protagonist of the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

Yusei is very different from the protagonist of the previous Yu-Gi-Oh! series. He is calm and cool much of the time, but when his friends are threatened he will fight till the end to protect them. His friends all respect and admire him for his honor and great dueling skills.

Rivalry

Yusei's greatest rival is Jack Atlus, who was once his best friend. Two years prior to the start of the series, Jack betrayed Yusei and stole his best monster card, "Stardust Dragon", along with his D-Wheel which he had spent so much time building and perfecting. Now Yusei has built a new D-Wheel and is out to win back his friend and his Dragon.

Deck

Yusei plays a Speed/Junk deck, focusing on summoning Tuner monsters and tributing them to summon more powerful Synchro monsters with stronger abilities. His best card is the Synchro monster "Stardust Dragon", which was stolen by his rival Jack. Jusei's main goal in the series so far has been to confront Jack and win this card back.
