Balpakram is a hill range located in Garo Hills. It is known for its beautiful plateau and ravine overlooking flat lands of Bangladesh. Garos, the local inhabiting the region, believe this hill to be the sort of resting place for departed souls. This believe is due to many strange yet natural formations, physical and biological, found in the hills. The place is also known for rare flora & fauna species and marine fossils. Tourists going to this place need to go through Baghmara and seek guidance from the local govt. conservator. Baghmara is a small township located at about 3hr trip from Tura, the capital of Garo Hills.
