Bhoothnath (Devanagari: भूतनाथ, Urdu: بھوت ناتھ, translation: "Lord of Ghosts") is an upcoming Bollywood film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Juhi Chawla with Shahrukh Khan and Priyanshu Chatterjee. It is produced by Ravi Chopra and directed by Vivek Sharma.
The story is about the relationship between a deceased grandfather (played by Amitabh Bachchan) and his grandson. The grandfather returns to his grandson as a ghost named Bhoothnath. Juhi Chawla plays the boy's widowed mother and Shahrukh Khan is her husband. Priyanshu plays Amitabh’s son in Ravi Chopra’s Bhoothnath. The film began shooting on October 18, 2006 and is expected to release on May 9, 2008.[1]
Trivia
- BR Chopra wanted to make a film called Ek Aur Masiha with Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, and Juhi Chawla in the late '90s but the film was never made.
- Adesh Srivastav, Anu Malik, and A.R Rehman were approached to compose the films music but opted out for unknown reasons. So project went to Vishal-Shekhar to compose the music of the film.
- Tanmay Chaturvedi and Aamir Haafiz, who are participants in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs 08 as well as Mussarat Abbas from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 have all sung a song in this film
