The Mesapotamian Campaign was a theater of the First World War fought between Allied forces represented by British and Anglo-Indian troops, and Central forces of the Ottoman Empire. The campaign unfolded across Transjordan and Iraq and included battles at Kut and Ctesiphon, near Baghdad.
