Harper-Archer Middle School is located in the Fairburn Heights community at the intersection of Fairburn and Collier Rd. It serves 18 other communites, among the most notable are Adamsville and Collier Heights.

It has a unique history. Originally, the site of Harper-Archer Middle was Harper High School. In 1995, Harper High merged with Archer High to form Harper-Archer High School. Seven years later, the nearby Usher Middle School moved into the Harper-Archer High building and it was converted into Harper-Archer Middle School. All of the students in the high school were sent to Douglass High and all of the students attending the old Collier Heights Elementary School now attendd the renovated Usher building, and it is now called Usher Elementary School.

Harper-Archer is home to the SRT-4 administrative offices.

As of 2006, the principal is Michael Milstead.
