John Joseph Benedetto is a Professor of Mathematics and Distinguished Scholar-Teacher at the University of Maryland, College Park. Director of the of The Norbert Wiener Center for Harmonic Analysis and Applications. He received his Ph.D. in 1964 from the University of Toronto in 1964 under the direction of Chandler Davis and has had 38 Ph.D. students.
