The Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Women's Championship (also known as the TNA (Women's) Knockout Championship) is a professional wrestling championship used in a women's division of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

History

TNA first publicly announced intentions to create a women's division and title through their "TNA Mobile" service on September 12 2007.[1] The title creation coincided with an increase in time for TNA's main television program, TNA Impact!, from one to two hours.[2]

Current champion

The current champion is Awesome Kong , who is in her first reign. She defeated Gail Kim for the title on an episode of TNA Impact! in a street fight match that was aired on Jan. 10th, 2008..
