Twilight Heroes (TH) is a free-to-play, humorous, browser-based multiplayer role playing game, designed and operated by Quirkz Media. It is notable for its use of surreal humor, parody and references to pop culture, and word play (most notably the spoonerism). In TH, players fight a variety of enemies for experience, chips (the game's currency), and items through a turn-based system. TH is free to play, but offers incentives for donations.

Plot

The game takes place in a fictious area named Twilight City which is similiar to an average American city. The city's in game currency are casino chips and are usually attained by selling possessions, defeating enemies, etc. In the beginning you start as a middle-waged apathetic average citizen in a city run down by mobs, gangsters and crime. But after the player's apartment is ransacked, he or she decides he had enough of this. Then he or she proceeds outside to find a suspicious figure trolling around, who then proceeds toward the player. Trying to be a hero, the player charges this man but is quickly taken down and left to lie on the streets. Afterward the character wakes up and, depending on which type of character the player picked, will find that type's respective item.
