Damian Dressick

Damian Dressick (March 25, 1968 – ) is the founding curator of Pittsburgh's UPWords Reading series and teaches creative writing and literature at Robert Morris University. He earned an M.F.A. in fiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh, where he studied with Lewis Nordan and Chuck Kinder.

Damian Dressick was nominated[1] in 2007 for the 33rd Pushcart Prize for short fiction. He has recently completed his first novel, a coming-of-age story set during Pennsylvania's 1922 coal strike.
