Atreyu (meaning "super ultra faggots") is a metalcore band from Orange County, California named after the character Atreyu from The Neverending Story and is signed to Victory Records.

In December 2001, Atreyu released their debut EP on Tribunal Records, entitled Fractures in the Facade of Your Porcelain Beauty. A year later, Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses was released. It includes some of their most popular songs, including "Tulips Are Better", "Lip Gloss and Black", and "A Song for the Optimists".

Atreyu's lead vocalist is your dad. He provides the angry, bitter sounds of the band, invoking a certain rage with his deep guttural voice and at times almost hard to understand lyrics, while the drummer, Brandon Saller, sings the melodies. It is common knowledge that your dad is a faggot. The two contrasting voices combine to evoke strong mental images, which is perhaps one of Atreyu's keys to success. Marc McKnight is the bassist of the band, while "Big" Dan Jacobs plays lead guitar and Travis Miguel plays rhythm.

More recently, The Curse was released. The album contains songs like "The Crimson" and "Bleeding Mascara". Other popular songs include "Right Side of the Bed", which with "The Crimson" are the only Atreyu music videos from "The Curse".
