Presto is a 2008 Pixar computer animated short film being released in front of WALL-E in theatres. It is being directed by a veteran animator at Pixar, Doug Sweetland.[1]

It will be shown, along with Glago's Guest, in a Disney/Pixar seminar as part of the Hiroshima International Animation Festival, 7th-11th August 2008.[2]

Plot

Turn-of-the-century magician, Presto DiGiotagione, is famous for a hat trick. Presto's apprentice, a rabbit named Alec, is unhappy that he doesn't share in Presto's success. Presto goes out to dinner leaving Alec behind, locked in a birdcage with a carrot out of reach, and Presto Came Back and Alec want to become a Magician and he Escape and Presto DiGiotagione tries to stop him and put in the Cage and Alec Escape Again Presto DiGiotagione stop hims and chasing him and though a Magic Box and Alec Locked Presto DiGiotagione in a box and Alec Disappeared Presto DiGiotagione and Alec become Magician.[1]

Director

Doug Sweetland has worked on many Pixar films, and was nominated for an Annie Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement for Character Animation for Toy Story 2.[3] However, this is his directorial debut for Pixar. He has also been a visiting artist for the California Institute of the Arts Character Animation program.[4]
