KRFX (103.5 The Fox) is a classic rock station based in Denver, Colorado. The Clear Channel Communications outlet broadcasts at 103.5 MHz with an ERP of 100 kw.

History

The station signed on the air in 1960 as KOA-FM with a MOR and later a Beautiful music format. By 1976 they would flip to Top 40 as KOAQ "Q103," where it would enjoy a successful run and become one of Denver's top-rated stations during the early 1980s. Jack Regan was the station's long-time program director and morning DJ. But on January 18, 1989 they would drop the format to become The Fox, and as of today continues in the Classic Rock format. The station is the flagship station for Clear Channel's "The Fox" radio station brand.
