Santiago Ezquerro Marín (born December 14, 1976 in Calahorra, La Rioja) is a Spanish footballer, who is currently playing as forward for FC Barcelona. He has previously played for CA Osasuna (1994-96), Atlético Madrid (1996-98), RCD Mallorca (1998) and Athletic Bilbao (1999-2005).
At Athletic Bilbao, Ezquerro established himself as one of the most promising forwards in La Liga, also making one appearance for Spain, in an infamous September 5, 1998, away Euro 2000 qualifier against Cyprus, which ended with a 3-2 loss and the sacking of coach Javier Clemente.
His form in the 2004-05 season led to him signing for FC Barcelona in a period of three+one years, on a free transfer. However, he was not able to establish himself in the first team, despite winning consecutive 'Swan d'Ors' from the Spanish Press Association in November/December 2006.
In 2007-08, he was not given the free transfer by the Catalan club and, not being signed by any team in the summer on in the January transfer window, was virtually absent for the season's duration, although he did score twice in a January Copa del Rey round of 32 contest, against lowly CD Alcoyano, in a 2-2 second leg home draw (5-2 aggregate).
