Clozure CL is a Common Lisp software development environment.

Clozure CL runs on PowerPC Macintosh computer systems under Mac OS X and Linux, and x86-64 systems under Mac OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD. Ports to IA-32 and 64-bit Windows are in development.

Formerly known as OpenMCL, Clozure CL (sometimes abbreviated as CCL) is an evolution of MCL. Clozure CL is open source and is effectively "owned" by Clozure Associates.

Although the Clozure CL core compiler level technology is well advanced, the API (based upon the Hemlock (editor)) is rudimentary and hence the user community is very small.

A work-in-progress with potential.
