In 2004, Prince toured North America to promote his Musicology album. The tour was often billed as Musicology Live2004ever. The tour lasted from 27 March11 September 2004 and covered 96 dates throughout the United States and Canada, fetching a significant profit for Prince. It was attended by 1.47 million people in 2004. Despite being a tour for Musicology, only a few songs from the album were usually performed. However, Prince suplemented these with his extensive back catalogue, both hits and more rare fan-favorites and a few notable cover versions.
