The use of the audio file linked here (The Libertines - Up the Bracket) in the Wikipedia article The Libertines is claimed to be under fair use as:

  • It is a 27-second clip of a single song, representing a small percentage of the actual product. The copyright owners' rights to sell the product are in no way limited by the sample's inclusion in Wikipedia;
  • Due to the file's low bitrate and resulting lack of quality, and the fact that it only constitutes part of the song, it could not be used to manufacture illegal copies of the product;
  • The audio file is used for non-profit educational purposes only, for identification and/or critical commentary on the song, album and/or band.
