Bang! Bang! Eche! |
---|
"Bang! Bang! Eche!" are a Dance punk band from Christchurch, New Zealand.
History
Bang! Bang! Eche! formed in May 2007, after Irish compatriots Sullivan and Mahoney met at an International School in Christchurch, New Zealand. They then drafted in Ryder and two Australians, Doney and Worsley, in order to play their first show with The Sneaks, The Whipping Cats and Disasteradio. On May 23rd, 2008, Bang Bang Eche released their debut, self-titled EP at the last ever show with sister band The Insurgents. 5 days later they performed the new songs in Auckland, New Zealand, opening for New York band !!!/Chk Chk Chk. They have since entered the studio to record their 2nd EP, which will feature such fan favourites as "Frogs in Popular Culture" and "Gabi is a Slut".
In November they are set to tour Europe in order to marry native citizens and gain EU passports.
In February 2008, BBE was he subject of a feature article on UK indie website ThisIsFakeDIY.co.uk.<ref>This Is Fake DIY - Introducing Bang! Bang! Eche!</ref
