"7 Things"
Song

"7 Things" is the first single off the upcoming 2008 album Breakout by Miley Cyrus. The song was accidently leaked to the iTunes store on June 9'th, but then taken off and said to be re-released to the store on June 17.[1]

Song description

In the song, Cyrus lists seven things she hates about an ex-boyfriend.[1] At the end, she lists seven things she likes about the ex-boyfriend.

According to one review, "7 Things" "mix[es] jangly pop verses with a raucous rock chorus, resulting in a weird but entertaining hybrid of Natalie Imbruglia's 'Torn' and No Doubt's 'Just a Girl'."[2]

The song is said to combine Avril Lavigne-style angst with dad Billy Ray Cyrus' country twang, according to People.com.[3]
